Your enquiry

The guided enquiry creates an email draft in your browser. It does not submit your answers to a server, save them in browser storage or send an email automatically. Opening your email app passes the draft to that app; copying it puts the text on your clipboard. You choose whether to send it.

If you send an email, the message and the contact details you include are processed by email services and received by DavidEllen. Business email for davidellen.com is handled through Microsoft 365. Avoid sending sensitive personal information in an initial enquiry. For questions about the handling of a message, contact info@davidellen.com.

How long we keep information

Enquiries that do not become work are normally deleted 12 months after the last meaningful exchange. Unsuccessful quotations and essential related correspondence are normally kept for 24 months after closure.

Essential completed-project records are normally kept for six years after project closure, subject to the applicable law, contract and insurance requirements. Accounting and tax records follow the applicable statutory retention periods. Different periods may apply to particular projects or records.

Spam and unnecessary duplicates are normally removed within 30 days, unless needed to investigate fraud or a security incident. Minimal records of privacy requests and complaints are normally kept for three years after closure.

Relevant records may be kept longer where necessary for a legal obligation, claim or investigation. Closed enquiries are reviewed quarterly. Expired information is removed from active systems; copies in backups may remain until the provider's normal backup cycle expires.

Cookies and hosting

The website code does not set cookies, use local storage, or include advertising trackers, analytics scripts or third-party font services. The site is hosted on Netlify. Serving a page requires technical information such as your IP address and request details to reach the hosting provider; this is separate from the enquiry draft.

Your browser, email application and external websites may handle information under their own privacy settings and notices.

Your information rights

Under UK data-protection law, you may have rights to access or correct your personal information, request its deletion, restrict or object to its use, and receive certain information in a portable format. The rights available depend on the reason the information is being used, and a legal obligation or claim may limit deletion.

To make a request or raise a concern, email info@davidellen.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK's data-protection regulator.

Links and project enquiries

Links to other ventures take you to separate websites with their own operators, information and terms. An enquiry through this website is a starting point for a conversation; there is no checkout, payment or automatic booking on this site.

For questions about this website or your personal information, email info@davidellen.com.
